Please remember that St. Augustine School closes independently of the Barberton City Schools and the Akron Public Schools, although their status does influence our decision to close or remain open. If Akron closes but St. Augustine School does not, there is no bus transportation. The same goes with Barberton, although Barberton offers an additional caveat--Barberton might do a 2-hour delay in which students who ride a Barberton bus can arrive at St. Augustine School two hours later than usual by bus and NOT incur an attendance mark. Barberton students who do not ride the bus would not be included in this.

For over 100 years, we have been proud to offer a strong Catholic education: rooted in Faith, enhanced by Academics, and strengthened by Service. We provide a full education from Kindergarten through 8th Grade, which includes core academic subjects (math, English, social studies, reading, spelling, and science), daily religion class, special subjects (art, music, Spanish, gym, and computer), all taught by a wonderful and caring staff of educators. We attend Mass on a weekly basis and strive to teach our students how to lead by example and become excellent well-rounded individuals. We participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year and we have a host of extra-curricular activities meant to provide our students with quality opportunities for growth (and some added fun). If you would like anymore information about our Catholic school, please do not hesitate to contact the Office.
