My name is Mrs. Theresa A. Rolenz, and I will be your child’s Kindergarten teacher. This will be my ninth full year working with the wonderful staff and children at St. Augustine School. Prior to teaching Kindergarten I taught third grade for three years and loved every minute of it. I am a graduate from the University of Akron and have my bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. I also minored in Child and Family Development. My favorite part of teaching is watching the the growth that the children make throughout the year.
When I am not teaching I spend all of my time with my husband, Jeremiah and our two daughters Emma (12) and Kylee( 7). The two girls keep me very busy. You will often find me at the gymnastics gym, sitting at the swimming pool, or supporting the girls as they cheer on the football team. We love to go on bike rides, walks, and take trips to the beach or waterpark. On August 13, 2015 we added another edition to the Rolenz family. We welcomed a baby boy Austin Jeremiah Rolenz to our family. We all were very excited to meet him.
My name is Natalie Cook, and I am a first grade teacher. I am an alum of St. Augustine School and a member of the church. I attended Norton High School and went on to Ursuline College. While at Ursuline, I played basketball and studied Early Childhood Education. I graduated in May, 2014 and recently received my Reading Endorsement. I'm looking forward to my third year as a teacher.
My name is Jackie Carr, and this is my second year teaching first grade at St. Augustine School. Prior to teaching here, I taught Pre-K in Macedonia. I graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in 2010 with my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I am really looking forward to watching my students learn and grow throughout the year.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Scout. We enjoy fishing, four-wheeling and being outside! Many weekends we enjoy spending working on our family farm in West Virginia.
I am Mrs. Natalie Chester. I am the second grade teacher at St. Augustine School. This is my 22nd year of teaching. I have been a member of St. Augustine Church my whole life. I was a St. Augustine School graduate in 1986. My father, brothers, daughter and son are also St. Augustine School graduates. I taught fourth grade for six years at Immaculate Conception School. I have taught a variety of grades over the past 16 years at St. Augustine. I have taught fifth, fourth, third, eighth, and second. I love the challenges and rewards each grade level brings. My favorite part of teaching second grade is teaching the sacraments. It is such a joy being a part of their special day.
I have two wonderful children. My daughter is 20 and works at Walt Disney World. She also attends Velenzia College in Orlando. My son Lucas is 16 and a sophmore at Barberton HS. If you come into my classroom, you'll see I'm a Disney fanatic!
I am Mrs. Ruthanne Nary, the third grade teacher here at St. Augustine School. This is my fifth year teaching third grade. Prior to teaching third grade, I helped in the music department at St. Augustine. I am also an active member of the St. Augustine Parish. I am a graduate of The University of Akron and have my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Through the years I have worked with many different children and love that I have made such an impact on their lives.
In my spare time, I spend most of my time with my husband Patrick and our daughter, Madigan. This year my family and I are welcoming twins...a baby boy and a baby girl! Our families are very important to us, and we are truly blessed. When I am not with my family, I love to shop and walk my westie, Guinness.
