This is my sixth year teaching at St. Augustine School, and I couldn't ask for a better place to work! Growing up, I attended Immaculate Conception School in Kenmore, and later went on to graduate from the University of Akron in 2011. I recently graduated from UA with my Master's in Special Education.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, traveling, and reading. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I am a graduate of St. Augustine School, Archbishop Hoban High School and The University of Akron. I reside in Norton with my husband, Ryan, and three sons. Kyle is a freshman at The Ohio State University, Andrew is in seventh grade, and Matthew is in third grade. I was baptized, received First Communion, confirmed, and married here at Saint Augustine and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to teach in this great parish. Formerly, I worked in the field of sports marketing with The University of Akron Department of Athletics and the Cleveland Indians. I serve as secretary of the St. Augustine Athletic Board. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my boys. I love participating in and watching sports.
I grew up in Corydon, IN and attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia. While at UC, I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree and played varsity baseball. I have been working in the Cleveland Diocese for over 20 years as both a teacher and an administrator during which time I earned two Master's degrees.
In my free time I enjoy coaching and watching sports as well as traveling. I am married with three daughters and am a parishioner at St. Barnabas Church in Northfield.
I attended Immaculate Heart of Mary from grades K-8. From there, I spent four years at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. In December 2012, I graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. After graduating, I spent a semester as a Title 1 Tutor at Seiberling Elementary School before being hired as a full-time teacher at St. Augustine School. I am excited to be entering my sixth year as a teacher at St. Augustine.
My hobbies include woodworking, music, running, bowling, and sports. I started band when I was in the 5th grade and continued to play the trumpet in the marching band throughout my high school and college years. Recently, I have taken an interest in pen turning. I have completed various 5k and 10k races, as well as four half marathons. In September 2014 I completed my first full marathon (4:50:01). Since I was never able to play contact sports in high school, I was a varsity bowler for four years and played various CYO sports when I attended I.H.M. In what spare time I have, you can find me in my workshop making and creating things out of various woods and acrylic materials.
This is my eighth year teaching here at St. Augustine School. I graduated from the University of Akron in 2016 with my Master's Degree in Educational Administration, in 2011 with my Bachelor's of Science in Middle Level Education and from Archbishop Hoban High School in 2006. I am honored that I have had the opportunity to teach in my home parish, and it has been great getting to meet so many new, wonderful people.
I am an avid sports fan, and I especially enjoy rooting for the Cleveland sports teams. In my spare time I am the JV football coach at Hoban. I am also the Athletic Director for our parish’s sports program.
