This is my third year teaching at St. Augustine School, and I couldn't ask for a better place to work! Growing up, I attended Immaculate Conception School in Kenmore, and later went on to graduate from the University of Akron in 2011. I am currently back at UA to get my Master’s in Special Education and my Reading Endorsement.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, traveling, and reading. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I am a graduate of St. Augustine School, Archbishop Hoban High School and The University of Akron. I reside in Norton with my husband, Ryan, and three sons. Kyle is a junior at Archbishop Hoban, Andrew is in fifth grade, and Matthew is in the first grade. I was baptized, received First Communion, confirmed, and married here at Saint Augustine and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to teach in this great parish. Formerly, I worked in the field of sports marketing with The University of Akron Department of Athletics and the Cleveland Indians. I serve as secretary of the St. Augustine Athletic Board. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my boys. I love participating in and watching sports.
This is my fifth year teaching at St. Augustine School. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education from the University of Akron in 2011. I proudly acknowledge that I am also a graduate of St. Augustine and St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. I feel that being back at St. Augustine is a wonderful opportunity for me to share all that I have learned throughout my own schooling and to continuously learn from my students. This year, I am teaching sixth grade Math, Religion, English, and Reading; and fifth grade English.
In my free time, I enjoy playing and coaching volleyball; playing billiards; and watching football and baseball. I also participate in kickboxing. I read as much as I possibly can, and l love spending time with my family and friends.
I grew up in Corydon, IN and attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia. While at UC, I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree and played varsity baseball. I have been working in the Cleveland Diocese for over 20 years as both a teacher and an administrator during which time I earned two Master's degrees.
In my free time I enjoy coaching and watching sports as well as traveling. I am married with three daughters and am a parishioner at St. Barnabas Church in Northfield.
My journey to St. Augustine School, started in Evansville, Indiana. I graduated from the University of Evansville. I taught at Memorial High School and spent summers in graduate school at Indiana University. Next came marriage and a move to Bloomington, Indiana. Then northeastern Ohio beckoned, and we were on our way.
It has been a joy to teach the seventh grade at St. Augustine School for many years. I have always looked forward to entering Room 305 to teach English and many other subjects to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.
When I am not involved with teaching, I like to travel with my husband, read a good book, do crossword puzzles, and I have even spent a summer on an archaeological dig. I am always ready to learn, teach, and support St. Augustine School.
My name is Marissa Cole. This is my second year teaching at St. Augustine School, but my third year teaching overall. I graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education for Math and Social Studies in 2012. I currently live in Massillon with my husband, Brandon.
In my spare time, I like to read, scrapbook and have recently started painting. Growing up in Massillon has made me a big football fan. I love attending games or watching them on television. (GO BENGALS!!) I am excited to continue teaching math and social studies this year. I know it will be another fantastic year.
This is my sixth year teaching here at St. Augustine School, and my fifth as the eighth grade teacher. I graduated from the University of Akron in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science in Middle Level Education and from Archbishop Hoban High School in 2006. This past May I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Administration and this year I am working towards earning my principal’s license. I have been a member of St. Augustine Church since 1998. I am honored that I have had the opportunity to teach in my home parish, and it has been great getting to meet so many new wonderful people.
I am an avid sports fan, and I especially enjoy rooting for the Cleveland sports teams. In my spare time I am the JV football coach at Hoban. I am also the Athletic Director for our parish’s sports program.
